Actividades practicas para ayudar a su hijo a tener éxito.

RESPONSABILIDAD

Digale a su hijo que prepare una lista de responsabilidades. Por Ejemplo: “Hacer mi tarea” ó “darle de comida al perro.”  Despues discuta las responsabilidades de otros.  Hable sobre lo que pasaria si las responsabilidades no se llevan acabo.  Que asaria si un policia decidiera no dirigir el tráfico en una intersección peligrosa.

INDEPENDENCIA

Enseñe a su hijo  nuevas destrezas, como preparar su propio almuerzo o preparar su ropa para la escuela . Ellos  sintirán un sentido de logro cuando no tenga que pedir ayuda.

CHARACTER EDUCATION

In 1995, the School Board of Miami-Dade County adopted nine core character education values as part of the district's required character education program. They are citizenship, cooperation, fairness, honesty, integrity, kindness, pursuit of excellence, respect, and responsibility. Each month at K.L.E. we emphasize one particular core value.

STUDENTS OF THE MONTH

Our “Students of the Month” are selected by their homeroom teachers as students who exemplify each value.

Practical Activities to help Your Child Succeed

RESPONSIBILITY

Have your child list his responsibilities. Examples: “Do my homework.” or “Feed the dog.” Then, discuss the duties of others. Talk about what happens when responsibilities aren’t taken care of.  What if a policeman decided not to direct traffic at a busy intersection?

INDEPENDENCE

Teach your youngster a new skill, like how to fix her lunch or lay out his/her clothes for school the next day. He or she will gaina sense of accomplishment when he/she doesn’t have to ask you for help.
