CHARACTER EDUCATION

In 1995, the School Board of Miami-Dade County adopted nine core character education values as part of the district's required character education program. They are citizenship, cooperation, fairness, honesty, integrity, kindness, pursuit of excellence, respect, and responsibility. Each month at K.L.E. we emphasize one particular core value.

STUDENTS OF THE MONTH Our “Students of the Month” are selected by their homeroom teachers as students who exemplify each value.
