Practical Activities to
help Your Child Succeed
RESPONSIBILITY
Have your
child list his responsibilities. Examples: “Do my
homework.” or “Feed the dog.”
Then, discuss the duties of others. Talk about what happens when responsibilities aren’t taken care of.
What if a policeman decided not
to direct traffic at a busy intersection?
INDEPENDENCE
Teach your youngster a new skill,
like how to fix her lunch or
lay out his/her clothes for school the next
day. He or she will gaina sense of accomplishment when he/she
doesn’t have to ask you for help.
